Oaktree cottage May 2011

Back again for our second stay and it was just as good as the first – no, it was better as it was just like coming home. Welcome was just as we remembered and even Rags wagged his tail.

Roy and Geoff found the fishing to be excellent with all types of fish being caught.

So thank you Debs and Gary for a lovely holiday, we look forward to seeing you in 2012. We all hope you have a good season as you really do deserve it as the farm is clean, tidy, attractive and the accommodation is first class.

Cinders cottage February 2011

Lovely place to stay, great views and very peaceful surroundings. We came here for a family party so the accommodation was incidental, was not expecting it to be as lovely as this. My family enjoyed it very much and our only regret is that we are not staying longer. Thanks very much.

Lake cottage 4th – 11th June 2011

This is the fourth time here and as usual we had a Great time, the weather was not as hot as we’ve had before but it doesn’t rain under an umbrella.

The fishing was as good as ever and the cottage likewise. And of coarse our great hosts and friends Gary and Debs, thanks for a really great week and we hope to be back next year.

Carp lodge 28th May – 4th June 2011

First time at Carp lodge. Beautiful spot, lovely walks, good fishing and excellent facilities. Weather was very kind this week, swimming pool, sauna, Jacuzzi and fishing, Paradise.

Well looked after by Gary and Debbie. Lots of fish caught, biggest 9Lbs 9oz this time, Great week.

Carp lodge 21st – 28th May 2011

This is our first time in Carp lodge, we have all had a lot of fun. The lads caught loads of carp, didn’t see them from first thing in the morning till late at night. We’ve made use of all the facilities including the swimming pool and gym. A thoroughly enjoyable holiday for all the family including the non – fishers. Many thanks to Gary and Debbie we look forward to seeing you next year.

Farm house and Oaktree Easter 2011

The best weather for this special time of year, glorious sunshine, the hottest for thirty years.

Group of friends, who have holidayed together for many, many years..................and without doubt this is the most memorable and amazing place to stay. The property is beautiful, clean and spacious and superbly furnished. Just so comfortable and relaxing, a pleasure to sit in the wonderful garden listening to the bird song. The icing on the cake.....the hot tub, so many laughs. For those that fished, very successful, photos to prove it. Thank you Debbie and Gary, this was a very memorable time with special friends.

Oaktree 17th June 2011

After a very long journey we arrived to a lovely warm and friendly greeting. First impressions of Oaktree is – clean, comfortable and cosy, not forgetting the tranquillity that was consistent throughout our stay.

We have seen that lots of thought to every detail has been considered to make ourselves and other guests feel extremely welcomed. It’s not very often we have arrived at a place where there has been a starter pack etc so we found this very helpful & refreshing.

We are very pleased we have found such a lovely place & people and would  definitely recommend South Farm along with Gary and Debbie.

A truly wonderful week end in this beautiful house. This is our 7th year away for our girlie weekend to laugh, enjoy a few drinks and catch up with friends away from work. We’ve been spoilt with superb weather and starry nights in the hot tub. With thanks to Deb and Gary

yet another great weekend at the Farmhouse and Oaktree Cottage. Houses as pristine and as comfortable & well equipped as usual. Fishing was brilliant. We all had a restful weekend with plenty of fresh air and fantastic views. A special thanks to Gary for getting the pool open early for our use. Kids loved it even though I thought it a little chilly and refused to get in! We will be back next year again.

what a wonderful time our golf society have just had staying at South farm. It was a great venue for our golf trips, making the great Devon courses, both north and south, easily accessible for our daily trips. The facilities were great , being able to fish was an added bonus, one of our members had his first catch which made his trip, and the hot tub on the terrace was very welcoming especially after the two rounds at Saunton it was a life saver.

We would recommend south farm to others.

Our first visit to South Farm and we have truly enjoyed our stay.

Oaktree cottage is lovely, loved the layout and the superb views, the sunsets have been gorgeous. Appreciated the little touches, like the flowers and candles. The facilities – games barn, tennis, trampoline and pool have all been tried and enjoyed.

Fishing has been fantastic, using luncheon meat and sweet corn just off the island. The lads fished the top lake and caught nearly 200 fish (little ones) in just one morning!

Just spent 2 lovely weeks in Carp lodge, lovely place, lovely people and great fishing.

My husbands an avid fisherman and has been for many years so when he praises good fishing sites they must be good. He was out there fishing nearly every day and catching decent fish. Needless to say that we will no doubt be back some time.

The setting, ambience and features of the house made it a great place for a family reunion. Thank you Gary and Debbie for making it so welcoming and spotlessly clean.

The games barn and hot tub provided good back up for the British summer weather. To this end the conservatory was great for Granny to keep warm. Despite the weather we really enjoyed the stay, Thank you.

We have really enjoyed our stay at South Farm. The children loved the pool and the trampoline. Only the weather was typical British, never the less we loved the walks and wonderful sights and views. Our 3rd stay at South Farm (1st stay in the Farm House). It still has a wonderful family feeling, long may it continue. We have enjoyed 4 days of glorious sunshine, tennis, badminton, fishing, trampolining and fishing not forgetting swimming in the rather cool pool although the thought of the hot tub made the swimming all the more bearable. Being an OAP I have had plenty to see, the hills in the distance and the lovely birds in the garden. Seeing the girls in the hot tub, seeing Nick do a lovely BBQ. Great to be back in Lake Cottage. Thanks to Gary and Debbie for the welcome on our return. Weather mixed but generally good. The fishing on home lake has been excellent but we were spoilt as we had the lake to ourselves most days. The improvements to the cottage are great.
