A couple are required, on a self employed basis, ASAP till October 2016 to help us with cleaning & grounds maintenance.
Applicants need to be fit, healthy (it can be a little bit hectic on changeover days) friendly, and reliable. This job would be better suited to an active retired couple looking more for a working holiday, with plenty of time to explore Devon or sit by the pool, than a way to get rich.
Main duties involve helping with the cleaning of cottages on our two change over days and helping with all types of ground maintenance. The hours to be worked are 6 hours each on Friday's and Saturday's (although you will need to be prepared to have a flexible approach to this please) plus 5 extra hours each during the week paid at £100 per couple.
A one bedroom fully furnished cottage, utilities and use of all amenities (including fishing) are provided with this position.
Previous experience would be great but not necessary. You must have your own transport because of the isolated location.
Typical tasks;
Cleaning of the holiday accommodation
Ironing (with a press)
Grass trimming and cutting
General Gardening
Jet washing patio areas
Window cleaning
Watering plants
Swimming pool and hot tub checks.
And general maintenance of South farm
You will also be required to be available two full days a week on the manager’s day off, to cover for emergencies only, and to open and close the swimming pool and hot tubs. You would not be expected to stay on site.
