We spent a week in South Farm as four families with kids ranging from 1 to 13, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. So much space for big groups to hang out, to cook and eat together, to bbq, and to sit and watch movies (most group accommodation never has enough living room sitting space). We used it as a base to see the area, but also spent many days on site swimming in the pool, playing tennis, playing football, playing in the play barn, and lounging in the hot tub. The kids haven’t stopped talking about the place since we left and I hope we can come back next year. Orla M

Went to visit my brother on holiday here..looks lovely, games room, hot tub room and under cover parking. Owner very pleasant and helpful. Wish we could have stayed..hoping he'll catch some fish from the three well stocked ponds.

Arrived on Thursday evening. it was a booking to get away, relax and for my father-in-law to enjoy some fishing time. (Family of 4 – myself, Father and Mother-in-law and teenage son) From the amazing helpful pre-arrival conversations with Justin and Pippa, it was an absolute pleasure to meet them. What a beautiful couple! They made us immediately feel so welcome and at home. Stables Cottage was perfect. Cosy, fully equipped, spacious and clean. We have had the perfect stay. We're very happy that we discovered this gem of a place at the last minute. We've had an amazing stay here and have created some great memories. We greatly appreciate your warm welcome & homely touches in the farmhouse. Our fishermen & fisherwoman were extremely pleased with their catches, and acknowledge your care of the lakes & the fish. Apart from one day of rain, when Monopoly came in very handy, we have had good weather. The pool and the hot tub were well used. We loved the sunsets, the views, the peace and tranquility. Thanks for a lovely stay. Everything has been great. The fishing has been the best since we have been coming here and of course the weather has been a bonus. Very decent carp 6lb – 14lb, mostly Commons, Roach, Bream, Perch, Tench, Golden Rudd. The peacock display and molehill challenge was an added bonus!!

Once again we are sad to be leaving South Farm. The boys had a good week fishing, landing some lovely fish from Home Lake. Pippa and Justin gave us a warm welcome & nothing was too much trouble. This time I felt more relaxed. mainly due to the fact our pet dog was made welcome too. It helps if the hosts are dog lovers and Pippa & Justin definitely are.

Our first visit - lovely cottage - very clean and excellent attention to detail. The fresh flowers, welcome cookies and milk in the fridge were a nice touch. Justin & Pippa made us all feel like regular visitors, nothing was too much for them, went out of their way to ensure we had an excellent experience. Justin offered great encouragement and support/advice for our son Mason with regarding his fishing. The fishing was excellent on some lovely local waters. All in all a lovely week, would recommend without hesitation - I'm sure we'll be returning!

We've had a lovely week here at Lake Cottage. Weather has been great, fishing also very good with a 15lb carp on Home Lake a PB for the hubby. Enjoyed the break away having time to chill out and relax. Winnie has enjoyed her woodland walks everyday, she has become quite the deer stalker!! Justin & Pippa have been amazing very accommodating, friendly and great hosts. We look forward to booking again next year.

We have had a lovely week for our first stay at Southfarm. Justin and Pippa are amazing hosts and couldn't do enough for us. Everything was lovely and clean and well equipped. The fishing was great!! We really recommend the Ashill Inn for food. Good luck in the future we will hopefully return soon.

Thank you Justin and Pippa for a wonderful week. We have enjoyed the wonderful facilities onsite including the basketball hoop, tennis court, fishing lakes, swimming pool, playground, immaculately mown garden lawn and the hot tub. The house was perfect for 10 of us with plenty of space and everything we needed to pass our time in ease and comfort. The friendly welcome, the biscuits and cookies (and the milk!) all helped us settle in quickly. We had great days out at Diggerland, Lyme Regis and some of the local pubs - as well as the massive Maize Maze only about 10 minutes away.

Had another lovely few days here, nice accommodation - well equipped. Good quality, challenging fishing on Home lake with superb condition fish. Pippa and Justin have made a fabulous start here, an absolute asset to South Farm. Lovely to meet them, incredibly helpful. It's the best I've ever seen South Farm, grounds are beautifully kept, and this is my 31st year of coming here!

Had a lovely week (plus 1 extra day!) Lovely cottage, stunning views, fabulous fishing - 10lb+ carp at least 10 a day! A fabulous holiday. We couldn't have enjoyed our holiday home more. Justin and Pippa were the best of hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. The site itself offers so much to do (for mixed ages) and is in a stunning spot. Beaches and experiences are in easy driving distance. We've already booked again for next year.

We’ve been to the rest, now come to the best!

Thank you Justin and Pippa for a wonderful week despite the wet weather. The cottage was perfect, being spacious, well equipped and importantly for us, has facilities to dry wet clothes. David has loved the fishing, being out much of each day on the well-maintained Lower Ram and Home Lakes. We were even able to stay relatively dry on the former by sitting under a tree. We created our own ‘species hunt’ from what we know is in the lakes and he’s caught 11 different species and several carp of double digits.

For me, the best thing is the pool, which you can use regardless of weather and I've swum 1km or 1 mile every day at various times from dawn to dusk. It’s such a peaceful location and it’s been lovely to swim and see the light change, watch the sheep in the field below and follow birds of prey in the air.

We’ll definitely be back and recommend this place to our friends. Next time, we’ll continue our walks from the Farm to learn about whetstone mining in the area. Thanks for a great stay here
